In 2005, the Christensen’s spent 6 months in Kenya both building another prominent orphanage and researching the impact of AIDS on orphanhood for a Master's Thesis.  A dream was birthed for a simpler, unique model of caring for at-risk children that did not involve huge Western budgets and traditional models. It was during this time that they met and began working with Daniel Lipparelli in the Kitale area. Daniel lived in Kenya for 8 years establishing a ministry to orphans and during that time volunteered in managing the early Kenyan operations of ReACT. Daniel’s team also established the Veronica Home in these years and today he serves on the Board of ReACT as a Director and advisor.

ReACT’s vision has been to use simple, cost-effective, and culturally-relevant means to empower orphans and vulnerable children.  Coming alongside Kenyans with a vision to serve their own communities is key to the work of ReACT.

ReACT's team make regular trips to Kitale to encourage and support the children and staff in any way possible.
