Ride for Refuge

About mid-summer this year, a great friend of mine, Tim Gordon, asked me if he could come alongside ReACT by forming a cycling team for the upcoming "Ride for Refuge" in September. Of course, I was excited since I consider myself a cyclist as well. On September 26 (almost a month ago), a team called "Chain ReACTion", consisting of Tim, Brenda, Hannah and myself all took the challenge and rode through the hills of Caledon, Ontario. What a perfect day!! Tim and myself rode together for close to three hours and put on an additional 65kms on our bikes. Through this event, not only was I able to connect with Tim but we were able to raise just over $5,000 that will go towards ReACT and the sponsorship of OVC's in Kenya.

So many of you gave graciously and for that we would like to say a big "thank you" on behalf of the children of Kenya. For anyone interested, please consider joining us next September, 2013 for our next ride. This was our first year doing this but we have caught the bug and are excited already for the ride next year. Won't you consider joining us?
